What to eat in Seoul? Here is a small guide on what I have ate during this year Seoul trip!
Sinchon Station
Palsaik Samgyupsal (팔색 삼겹살)
Sinchon Station (Line 2 Exit 6) Walk straight until you see the crossroad then cross the street walk further down for 10 minutes the shop is located on your right.
This restaurant is real famous! It offers 8 flavours of Samgyupsal and gosh this is the best Samgyupsal that I had ever taste in my life (real soft & tender). When you order it comes with a seafood soup (soup are fresh) set.
Must try when you are in Sinchon is real good! You wont regret!
Beside this you can try the Choon Chun Jip Dak Galbi too.
Gyeongbokgung station
We came across this stall at Gyeongbokgung station (Line 3 Exit 2 ) selling Premium Walnut Pastry and it was 3000 won for 12 pieces and is delicious the filling is red bean paste with premium walnut.
Next we went to the famous Tosokchon that sells ginseng chicken! From Gyeongbokgung station (Line 3 Exit 2 ) and walk further 5 minutes you will see Tosokchon on your right side. Was so lucky when we went there was no crowd and we do not even need to queue! That time was 11+am and when we were out of the restaurant the queue was incredibly long!
Samcheong-dong
The second best in Seoul (Seoureseo Duljjaero Jalhaneunjip)
Angguk Station (Line 3 Exit 1) or Gyeongbokgung station (Line 3 Exit 1). The shop is just located right opposite Beans Bin Cafe. (Just find Samcheong-dong Beans Bin Cafe and you will reach the shop)
Is a small tea house and quite famous around the local. We order "patjuk" which means red bean porridge which cost 6000 won per bowl. Its best match with the mochi they gave the taste very traditional. What I observe is that all the locals order this as well.
55 Beonji Ramyon ( 55 번지라면)
Just walking around and we came across this 55 Beonji Ramyon Restaurant banner located out side (small path of an alley) When I saw the tasty road banner I was like OMG we gotta try this shop out! (tasty road is a very nice Korean food channel)
So we order the very famous Jjamppong Ramen 79 000 won minmum order was two bowl.
Mussel was fresh and delicious! Nothing bad to say about the ramyon simply love it! The price is worth for the freshness. Plus is not spicy it just look spicy only!!!!
Went we were there we witness live shooting as well seems like this shop is really famous!
Myeong-Dong
Myeong-Dong Gyoja is also the most famous gyoja in Myeongdong and this is my 3rd visit I blog it here! Located beside Myeongdong H&M (they have two shops).
Just order it NO REGRETS!
Dong Seoul Station
We was loitering around the Dong Seoul Bus Station and we found this shop that sells fish cake & hotdog.
Jumbo hotdog and is super nice! The lady gave lots of cabbage it cost 2000 won plus her fish cake are good tho only 500 won per stick
Chain Cafe
I'm grouping all the chain cafe together. Literally you can find it everywhere!
Beans Bin Cafe
Expensive waffle it cost me rm30+ hahaha still acceptable since the ice cream is from Häagen dazs you get to choose 2 ice cream flavours of your choice.
Coffee Bene
I ordered belgium waffle with vanila gelato (2nd plate) and I like the waffle compare to beans bin! It taste very sweet and soft! IDK what the 1st thing called but is a bread with cream topping and chocolate syrup and is a autumn menu.
Kyochon Chicken
This branch is located in Hongdae and is quite hard to find when I ask the locals they seems to like NO IDEA on it and it was 11pm+ we were hungry and looking for dinne. It taste better than KFC hahahaha!
Seoul Station
Beside that I also manage to buy some meat from LOTTE MART it was on SALE during closure of their business hours; 3 box of Lotte Mart (Samgyupsal) it only cost 15000 won mega cheap! So I bought some rice cake and mix it and thats for dinner!
Stay tuned for my next haul post!
